FAQs

Why vegan?

Because there’s no reason to cause harm to another living beign when we don’t need it to survive. Being vegan is a moral obligation dictated by love and compassion for the animals, the planet and ourselves (1).

What about B12?

B12 can be found in animal products mostly because the animals get B12 supplements in their food. If you bypass the animals and get the supplement yourself you can drastically improve the absorbtion and eventually avoid any deficiency.

Isn’t vegetarian enough?

By being vegetarian you still cause harm to animals. The dairy and egg industries are just as cruel as the meat one (2). Don’t take my word for granted, feel free to check out the resource at the end of this FAQ.

What about baby steps?

Once you acknowledge that something is wrong why, do you keep supporting it? Once you realize that racism is wrong you stop supporting it overnight. The same principle can be applied here. Being vegan in 2020 it’s way easier than you might think.

Where do you get your protein?

Proteins are macromolecules consisting of long chains of amino acids. All plants have all 9 essential amino acids and there’s no need to combine plant food for a complete protein intake.

“It’s too hard/I love the taste”

Is it harder for you or the animals? They are giving up their lives for 5 minutes of pleasure. Are your taste buds more important than the life of an animal? By the way, there are plenty of vegan foods that taste just like the “real thing” (3).

Notes

  1. By going vegan you change nothing about yourself, you just align your actions with your values and at the same time you recognise to give the animals the basic right to life, you don’t have to be a animal lover to be vegan.

  2. It’s hard to know how cruel an industry can be (especially if it’s hidden from you) that’s why I strongly suggest you to have a look at the resources down below.

  3. Processed vegan food can be just as expensive as processed non-vegan food. A whole food vegan diet is one of the cheapest diets on the planet, that’s why many poor people around the world have a vegan diet.
